The Neighborhood Film Project 7 is a film competition, initiated by the San Antonio Deptartment for Culture and Creative Development and San Antonio Film Commission, which is devoted to telling the story of the people, places, and shared experiences that make San Antonio a vibrant and celebrated city for its residents and visitors. The competition was originally established in 2009 to enhance the local filmmaking community and provides opportunities for local filmmakers to produce new works.

This year, the Neighborhood Film Project 7 asks filmmakers to highlight an area of San Antonio that inspires them, while selecting one of the following genres:

There is also a Student category, and each entrant within the Student category must be enrolled in a high school or secondary degree program.

Cash prizes will be offered for eligible 1st and 2nd place films, which will be judged by a committee of industry professionals, including artists, screenwriters, filmmakers, and other media professionals.

Submission deadline is Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 4:00pm CST.
